Cambria Renown

Renown is Cambria’s broader NFT loyalty and scoring system. It builds on the earlier Founder Loyalty Score and is designed to provide a flexible way to measure long-term NFT participation.

What is Renown in Cambria?

Cambria describes Renown as a time-weighted score for NFTs, expanding the earlier Founder Loyalty Score into a broader collection system. The project’s article explains the motivation as recognizing holding history and commitment, rather than treating every asset as identical regardless of its past.

From Founder Loyalty Score to Renown

Cambria’s earlier Loyalty Score tracked how long a Founder NFT had been held since mint or transfer. The Renown article describes a broader approach that can aggregate scores across different NFTs, with each collection potentially using its own relevant variables. The exact formula should be read from current official documentation rather than approximated from a short summary.

Time-weighted holding and participation

The project describes Renown as a measure that can incorporate holding duration and, for some assets, participation or attunement to in-game activities. Transfer and holding rules can affect the score. This is a project mechanic and should not be interpreted as a universal NFT standard.

Potential utility and limitations

Cambria has discussed using Renown in areas such as privileges, weighted access, NFT reveals and possible governance or reward mechanisms. These are examples of project use cases, not guaranteed benefits for every holder. Time-weighted systems can also create trade-offs between long-term loyalty and access for newer participants.
